Lancashire Telegraph and Telegraph and Argus publisher, Newsquest Media Group has appointed a new Editorial Transformation Director.
Richard Porritt will take up the role in July, working with its local editorial teams across the UK.
The former editor of Archant’s Norwich Evening News has been a Regional Editor at Newsquest since 2022.
“Local journalism matters more than ever. I’m really looking forward to working with colleagues across Newsquest as we strive to serve our audiences even better, whilst staying true to the values of great reporting,” he said.

Porritt is currently Regional Editor for Newsquest Eastern Counties, as well as Editor of the Eastern Daily Press.
