Strategic partner Embryo to tackle search, strategy and affiliate myths at Northern Marketing Festival 2026

We’re counting down the days until the Northern Marketing Festival gets underway next week and we’re delighted to reveal more details of the sessions being delivered by our strategic partner, Embryo.

Taking place across Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester, the festival will bring together marketers, agencies, brands and digital leaders from across the North for a packed programme of insight, debate and industry networking.

As strategic partner, Embryo will lead three sessions tackling some of the biggest talking points in modern marketing, from affiliate strategy and audience behaviour through to the increasingly complex world of search.

Liverpool: The truth behind the industry’s most misunderstood channel

Kicking things off in Liverpool at 09:40, Matt Dicks, Senior Affiliate Manager at Embryo, will present The truth behind the industry’s most misunderstood channel.

Affiliate marketing is often reduced to conversations around discount codes and last-click attribution, but this session will challenge those misconceptions and reposition affiliate as a full-funnel, partner-led growth channel.

Attendees can expect practical insights into how brands can unlock more value from affiliate activity and rethink its role within wider performance marketing strategies.

Leeds: Reaching the unreachable

In Leeds, Dom Carter, Chief Strategy Officer at Embryo, will take to the stage at 09:40 with Reaching the unreachable.

The session will explore how marketers can connect with increasingly fragmented and difficult-to-reach audiences in today’s media landscape.

Carter will share strategic perspectives on attention, consumer behaviour and what brands need to do to remain relevant and visible.

Manchester: Understanding your audience when the SERP is… a lot

Meanwhile in Manchester, Jess Atkinson, Organic Search Director at Embryo, will present Understanding your audience when the SERP is… a lot also at 09:40.

The session will examine how modern search environments influence attention, trust and click behaviour, while offering practical advice on how brands can identify visibility gaps and show up more effectively in front of the audiences that matter.

As search continues to evolve through AI-driven results and increasingly crowded SERPs, the talk promises to provide valuable takeaways for marketers navigating the future of discovery online.

The Northern Marketing Festival takes place next week across Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester, featuring a packed line-up of speakers and sessions from leading voices across marketing, media and digital.

With tickets selling fast, now’s the time to secure your place.
