Scotland-based cloud specialist CirrusHQ has expanded its commercial team with the appointment of its first Head of Business Development, as it looks to strengthen its position in the public sector and wider AWS ecosystem.
Gary Beddow has joined the AWS Premier Tier Services Partner from Digital Space, where he held a similar role for several years. His background includes extensive experience working with public sector organisations and across AWS-led projects.
The newly created role forms part of a broader expansion of CirrusHQ’s sales function, following the recent appointment of Matt Smith as Head of Sales.

Commenting on the hire, CEO James Lucas said: “Cloud First strategies are now the norm across the public sector, with many local authorities and central governmental departments fully recognising the power and scale that the technology can provide. Beddow will report to Chief Revenue Officer Stephen Croke as the company continues to build out its senior commercial leadership team.
