New Managing Director at sports brand agency WORKS

Chris Buckley is stepping down as the Managing Director of Leeds-based branding agency, WORKS.

The company was sold to Australian-based Champion Data earlier in the year, with the goal of merging their data analytics, broadcast graphics and creative design into a single operation.

During his 2 years at the helm, Buckley oversaw that deal and will remain with WORKS in an advisory capacity.

He’ll be replaced by Rob Porteous, who joined the business from Burnley FC in August last year as Commercial Director.

“WORKS has an outstanding reputation within the global sports industry, having built an impressive client base that includes many of the world’s biggest brands in sport,” he said.

“The business is exceptionally well positioned for its next phase of growth, and I am excited by the opportunity to lead it into that next chapter. With strong momentum already in place, 2026 promises to be an exciting year,” he added.

WORKS was founded in 1989 and counts FIFA, FIBA, UEFA and World Aquatics among its clients.
