STV Radio promises “noisy start” to 2026

STV has confirmed that its new radio station will officially launch on 7th January, with the launch slogan – Never the Same Song, All Day Long.

The national station will play music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s and said it was committed to offer a “broader, more imaginative music mix every day, with less repetition and loads more brilliant tunes.”

The first voices on STV Radio at 8am will be breakfast duo, Ewen Cameron and Cat Harvey. Ordinarily the show will run from 6am-10am every weekday – promising “signature banter, hilarious stories, competitions, celebrity guests and live in-studio performances.”

“It’s been a little while since we left our old station and you won’t believe the amount of stories I’ve got banked up waiting to be told!” said Harvey.

“That’s the thing I love most about our show – it’s a place where we can be ourselves, with no airs or graces, and just have a laugh every morning with our incredible community of listeners. STV Radio is such an exciting new platform for us and we’re honoured to be kicking off an absolute belter of a line-up on 7 January. Set your alarms!”
