Co-op Live launches UK-first Apple Wallet partnership

Co-op Live has become the first arena in the UK to launch the enhanced Apple Wallet ticket experience, offering fans a smarter, more intuitive digital journey both before and during live events.

Available for Safetix tickets on iOS 18 and later, the enhanced Apple Wallet pass provides a richer layer of information directly within the digital ticket. Fans can now access arrival guidance, venue maps, parking instructions, journey planning tools, local weather updates, curated Apple Music playlists and interactive links to the venue app, food and beverage options and merchandise, all without leaving their Wallet. The system is entirely self-serve, allowing venues to build, update and customise passes themselves. Passes can also be refreshed in the days leading up to an event so fans always receive the most relevant and up-to-date information.

This upgrade marks a significant shift in how digital tickets can support the fan journey. Rather than acting solely as an access credential, the pass becomes a “communication hub that streamlines arrival and encourages app engagement.”

“Innovative technology underpins much of Co-op Live and continuously cements our commitment to a seamless, forward-thinking fan experience. Working with our partners at Ticketmaster to be the first arena in the UK to implement the upgraded Apple Wallet features further showcases this drive, offering ticket holders an elevated, intuitive offering as they prepare for, travel to and enter the venue,” said Guy Dunstan, General Manager, Co-op Live.

Co-op Live has consistently pushed boundaries in technology, sustainability and digital innovation. It’s early adoption of the enhanced Apple Wallet pass demonstrates a continued commitment to delivering next-generation fan experiences and sets a new benchmark for how venues can harness digital tools to elevate fan engagement.

The arena, Europe’s largest indoor music venue, opened in May 2025 following a string of false starts and cancellations while the final pieces of the venue were put in place, with a performance from local lads Elbow finally getting things off the ground. It has since gone on to be a key part of Manchester, and the wider North’s, music scene, and in July this year was named a Greener Arena with Highly Commended status as part of A Greener Future (AGF) certification.
