There’s just over a week left to get your free nominations in for Prolific North’s Tech Start-ups to Watch list for 2025.
Sponsored by Beyond Echo PR, this special event is back for a fourth edition to identify and celebrate a fresh wave of the most promising new tech start-ups in the North and Scotland.
The list will be compiled from extensive research by the editorial team at Prolific North alongside input from trusted and independent observers of the Northern tech sector, and nominations from companies or their representatives.
An accompanying event, where we will exclusively reveal the selected companies on the list, will be held in Manchester on 15 October 2025.

If your company is based in the North of England or Scotland, and incorporated no earlier than January 1, 2020, we want to hear from you. And it’s free to enter!
Submissions will be scored based on the following criteria:
- Traction and product-market fit: We’re looking for proof that your company is genuinely solving a problem for a defined group of customers; this can include user feedback, pilot programmes, customer retention rates, ARR, number of active users etc
- Team & leadership: Tell us about the people behind the idea. We’ll be looking at the background and experience of your founding team, your current team size, and your growth plans.
- Scalability and business model: Show us your vision for the future. This includes your plan to generate revenue, your growth strategy for the next 1-3 years, and your path to profitability or plans to access future funding.
