Four former executives from GMG Radio have launched a radio agency called Tadah! Media.
Paul Renhard, the former GMG Radio group head of creative, and former Real Radio head of creative Dave Gilbank have teamed up with Karl Svenson, previously the GMG Radio group production head, and Rebecca Bonell, a former Smooth Radio sales executive.
The agency will offer copywriting and production services and will be based in the North West and Yorkshire.
Gilbank said: “We intend to fill the gap that the large national radio stations left when they centralised their copywriting and production services. Our experience is that they [radio groups] want really good ads made quickly, and we’re about providing a personal service.”
The agency does not yet have any clients but is working with regional radio companies.
GMG was acquired by Global Radio for £70m in June 2012, although the Competition Commission subsequently ruled that the company would have to sell seven stations for the deal to go through.
