Bidnamic bids for US success

Bidnamic's US team

Leeds-based ecommerce marketing platform Bidnamic is expanding to the US, with a new office in Austin, Texas, one of the USA’s fastest growing tech hubs.

The Google Shopping ecommerce marketing platform will use its new Austin base to service and support its growing US customer base, and also plans a raft of new hires to help with the expansion of its AI-powered cloud platform.

The move follows a £4 million investment by Gresham House Ventures in May and the recent appointment of Chris Underhill as chairman. Bidnamic has already hired 12 new staff for the US base, adding to the 100+ global workforce.

Heads of sales Adam Ellmore and Tom Stephenson, who have worked with Bidnamic since it was founded in 2018, will lead the US-operation, developing young talent and building on the 700+ retailers and brands the company has worked with over the years.

Bidnamic CEO and co-founder Liam Patterson said: “We’re delighted to announce our new Austin office in one of the fastest growing tech hubs in the USA, giving us the foundations to develop our relationships with US clients like Volcom and fashion marketplace Garmentory, as well as introducing our platform to other successful brands and retailers. Google Shopping has become more competitive, so companies are looking for cost-effective ways to optimise their offering. We’re confident our platform and team will help them deliver.”

Bidnamic LLC will be incorporated from August 2022 and will be based at the Capital Factory, a collaborative hub and community for tech startups in Austin. The team will be raising the company’s profile in the US by attending major industry events including Shopify in Las Vegas.
