UK out-of-home advertising revenues climbed 12.7% year on year to £402.6m in the second quarter of 2026, according to new industry figures.
Data collated by PwC for trade body Outsmart showed digital out-of-home (DOOH) revenue increased by 14.6%, while classic out-of-home advertising grew by 8.8%.
Digital accounted for 68% of the sector’s total revenue during the quarter. The performance marked a second consecutive quarter of strong growth, with total out-of-home revenues across the first half of 2026 up 13.7% compared with the same period last year.

Justin Cochrane, chair of Outsmart, said: “Another strong quarter for Out of Home, underlining the continued confidence that brands have in the medium’s creativity, reach and effectiveness.”
PwC said spending had been supported by advertising activity surrounding the World Cup. Digital out-of-home revenue increased by 15.9% across the first half of the year.
Andy Lobo, director at PwC, added: “H1 2026 has delivered strong growth for OOH spend, supported by World Cup activations. Specifically, Digital OOH has grown 15.9% in H1 this year, which is ahead of the global growth of some of the major internet advertising platforms.”
