UK’s biggest gaming machine maker acquires Newcastle bingo and fundraising specialist

Dransfield Novelty Company Limited, the largest British-owned UK supplier of gaming machines and entertainment products to pubs and clubs, has acquired Newcastle Upon Tyne-based, Crystal & Son Group.

This strategic purchase marks a milestone for the family-owned Leeds business, which has a proud 75-year history, and further enhances Dransfield’s range of goods and services it can supply to pubs and clubs while complementing its core operations.

Crystal & Son Group, renowned for being a leading supplier of bingo and fundraising products, brings valuable expertise in a closely aligned yet distinct industry space.

Legal advice for Dransfield was provided by Schofield Sweeney with Jack Venable, Michael Cantwell and Simon Hellewell providing the corporate and real estate aspects. Malcolm Coomber and Katie Brockhurst from Clarkson Hyde acted as corporate finance advisers and Savage Silk – Chris Morgan and Pamela Thompson, provided legal advice for Crystal & Son Group.

This acquisition builds on Dransfield’s purchase of Gameco Holdings Limited, owners of Reflex Gaming in 2019.

Chris Haley, managing director of Dransfield added: “We look forward to integrating Crystal & Son Group into our operations and continuing our mission to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.”
