Triple hire as booming Huddersfield agency near-doubles headcount

Huddersfield-based PR and communications agency Wild PR has recruited three new members of staff, almost doubling its current headcount to seven.

Sammy Allen has joined the team as an SEO content specialist, bringing seven years of industry experience. Allen previously worked at Ignition Search in Sheffield as a content strategist and prior to that, as an SEO copywriter at Countrywide Healthcare Supplies.

She will be responsible for enhancing organic content strategies, utilising data to identify impactful content opportunities that help clients meet their objectives.

University of Huddersfield graduate, Ollie Johnston, has also joined the team as its newest PR executive. He brings content writing experience from his English Literature degree and will be responsible for helping drive PR campaign development. Alongside his job role, Johnston will be undertaking a Level 4 PR and Communications apprenticeship with The Juice Academy to further develop his knowledge of the industry.

Jess Ledger has joined the PR agency as junior marketing assistant, straight from Sheffield College, where she recently completed A-Levels in Film, Media and English. Ledger will be undertaking a Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship with the Juice Academy alongside her role. Her responsibilities will include supporting broader digital marketing needs on behalf of Wild’s clients, with a specific focus on social media and PR activities.

Founder and managing director of Wild PR, Katrina Cliffe, said: “We’re delighted to welcome new members to the Wild pack. This year, we’ve achieved great things, from client wins to overall growth. We look forward to continuing this trajectory as we head into the new year.”

Wild PR reported a 46% increase in gross profit and a 30% increase in revenue during its most recent financial year, from its bases in Huddersfield and Sheffield, and is now looking to increase revenue by a further 20% this year.

The agency works with businesses across the UK and specialises in traditional and digital PR, social media, and SEO-driven content creation, working with clients across diverse sectors. Longstanding clients include Heald Ltd and Specialist Glass Products, while more recent additions to its roster include nursery retailer, Ickle Bubba.
