Independent West Yorkshire promoter Futuresound has announced Live at Tileyard North, a new series of outdoor concerts in Wakefield taking place next summer, with indie rock mavericks the Vaccines named as headliners for the first event on Sunday 30th August 2026.
Nominated for Regional Promoter of the Year at the upcoming 2025 Live Awards, Futuresound has been operating in the region for nearly thirty years and is the trusted team behind large-scale outdoor events such as Live at Leeds, Slam Dunk, Live at York Museum Gardens, Live at Kirkstall Abbey and now this series of unique performances at Tileyard North from musical icons and rising stars alike throughout August 2026.
The Vaccines, Live at Tileyard North’s first announced headliner, will be performing their critically acclaimed 2011 debut album What Did You Expect From the Vaccines? in full to celebrate 15 years since its release as well as a curated selection of hits and fan favourites from across their subsequent five full-length records.

From Zane Lowe declaring their initial 2010 demo of ‘If You Wanna’as “the hottest record in the world” to sharing stages around the world with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Rolling Stones, the Vaccines’ ascent has been meteoric. The quartet’s sixth record, 2024’s Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations, finds the band at their most refined and reflective, contemplating their original West Coast influences and reinterpreting them through a British indie rock lens.
Live at Tileyard North will bring two weeks of incredible outdoor live music experiences to the courtyard of the Tileyard North development. Futuresound will be sharing more details on the Live at Tileyard North programme very soon.
Postcode pre-sale for residents local to Tileyard North (WF1, WF2, WF3, WF4, WF6) will open at 10am on Wednesday 26th November here.

Sam Townend, head of events at Tileyard North added: “We’re thrilled to be joining forces with Futuresound to launch a groundbreaking new era of live music in Wakefield.
