Tentacles trap shoppers in interactive OOH campaign


Spiced Caribbean rum brand, The Kraken, is launching an augmented reality campaign in Manchester.

Planned by Media Campaign and created in partnership with Ocean Labs, the 8 day promotion is running across the Northern quarter ahead of Halloween.

The units will be wrapped with the brand’s creative and when people step on floor vinyls in front of the adverts, the screen becomes a mirror stream.

Using augmented reality, the Kraken’s tentacles will appear from all sides of the screen and then engulf the participant as they disappear in a cloud of ink.

They are then encouraged to share their moment on social channels to further build awareness.
