One of the country’s largest providers of specialist educational software has announced its acquisition of Every, a compliance and HR management solution for the sector.

IRIS Software Group intends to expand the scope of its compliance and HR offerings through the move for Every.

The Leeds-based edtech provides an end-to-end system for ensuring adherence to compliance requirements focused on policies, facilities and equipment to reduce risk. Its HR solution provides integrated, centralised and real-time records for HR and finance teams.

The acquisition follows IRIS’s takeover of payroll service providers Dataplan – based in Grimsby – and PayPlus. The software company, which is headquartered near Slough with offices in Leeds, Manchester, Stockton and Wigan, provides services to businesses within accountancy and education.

Simon Freeman, MD of IRIS Education, said: “We are delighted to welcome Every to the IRIS family. This is another step towards creating the most comprehensive end-to-end software offering for schools and trusts – one that takes the pain out of important day to day activities, and ensures they can focus on what matters most, teaching.”

Ian Bond, Founder of Every, added: “It’s now more important than ever to make sure education professionals have the tools to make their jobs more manageable, empower them with better decision making, and identify more efficient ways of working.

“Joining the IRIS family allows us to build on what we’ve achieved to date and add greater value to our customers. We are excited about the future with IRIS and reinforcing our commitment to service excellence for our customers.”
