Liverpool tech firm MSite acquired by Sweden's Infobric
Tech platform MSite, which provides workforce solutions for the construction industry, has been acquired by Nordic firm Infobric to create a leading European digital supplier.
MSite uses biometric data to enable access control on UK construction sites, with 40% of the current construction workforce in Britain enrolled. It's relied upon by organisations including Morgan Sindall and Vinci Construction.
Its acquisition allows Infobric - which operates within the same field and whose services are used by more than 300,000 users - to implement biometric solutions, and grow as a leading supplier for construction, creating an organisation with offices across Sweden, Norway, Finland and the UK.
The Liverpool company's workforce management technologies are set to be merged with Infobric's with new capabilities planned within the next year as the companies are combined.
“MSite has trailblazed digital workforce management in the UK Construction space for 20 years, but our ambitions have always been to be a global company," said CEO of MSite, Neil Norman.
"By joining the Infobric family we have that opportunity to expand our reach whilst continuing to be at the forefront of the digital revolution underway in construction. I am incredibly proud and excited to take our team and MSite to the next stage of our journey."
Dan Friberg, Infobric Group President and CEO, added: “We have followed MSite for a long time and are incredibly happy that they are now joining Infobric Group. MSite has made a similar journey in the UK as we have done in the Nordics and has built an impressive customer base with large, international customers in the construction industry.
"Our combined service offerings make it possible to deliver even more value for our customers while at the same time positioning us more clearly as an international digitalization partner."
