Sponsor helps launch new Stockport County away kit with “For The Ones That Show Up” campaign film

To help launch Stockport County’s new away kit for the 2026/27 season, shirt sleeve sponsor and local full service marketing agency GROFU has produced a promo video based around the strong work ethic required to become a success.

Titled “For The Ones That Show Up”, the campaign focuses on a young athlete who “has a desire to take himself to the top with that first in, last out mentality.”

The GROFU launch details added: “It’s about doing the work and setting the standard for those coming next, messaging that is consistent with brand marketing agency, GROFU.”

Patrick McFadden, managing director at GROFU said: “The result is won long before kickoff. Not in the moment everyone sees, but in the hours before it. The preparation. The details. The attempts nobody will ever watch.

“That’s true for an athlete. It’s true for every piece of work we create.”

Starring Keone Depasois-Mike, bringing the concept to life as a young player willing to go the extra mile, the piece was shot in the late hours, not only to capture the right lighting, but also “in fitting with the company ethos.”

The piece was a different direction from the launch of the home shirt earlier in the summer, which featured the invisible man walking round Stockport town centre in the new kit delivering it to kids, and showcases the versatility of GROFU’s video production team.

The third film in the Stockport County 26/27 kits trilogy is set to launch in a few weeks time to coincide with, no surprises here, the launch of Stockport County’s third kit.

GROFU is a brand creative and performance agency that specialises in providing luxury brand principles for everyday sectors. Based in Stockport, the agency works across multiple industries including construction and property, finance, technology, retail and food and drink. Founded by Patrick McFadden in 2021, GROFU “has creativity and data at its heart.”
