Skout appoints Deputy MD

Cheshire’s Skout has promoted Claire James to the role of joint Managing Director.

James has been at the Macclesfield agency since 2019, initially as Senior Account Director.

She’ll work alongside founder and Managing Director, Rob Skinner and Claire Lamb as they seek to grow into a “multi-million pound B2B agency.”

“This is an exciting period for Skout as a business and we are focused on strengthening the agency leadership team. CJ is already a key member of the team who understands the culture of Skout and the clients with whom we are in partnership,” said Skinner.

“CJ will be concentrating on keeping Skout the brilliant agency that it has grown to be, working alongside Claire Lamb and I who will continue to work in the business, directing our efforts towards our future growth. She will remain as senior consultant on accounts, assisting the team with strategic development and ensuring client service needs are met.

James added:

“After over 30 years in PR, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in an agency that I really believe in, with clients that I enjoy working with, and a fantastic team alongside me to make a real impact. It’s a really exciting point in my personal career.

“I am completely committed to ensuring that we continue to deliver great work for our clients that has become the foundation of our long-lasting, beneficial relationships. I would also like to personally thank both Rob and Claire for this amazing opportunity.”
