Dave Swanton, who was Head of Media at Sale Sharks for 17 years before exiting last November, says the club no longer want him to attend games.
Swanton is a well-known figure at the club, having originally joined in July 2000, and has also presented a show on BBC Radio Lancashire since 1998.
He tweeted: “Had several messages etc asking why I don’t watch Sharks play live @SaleRugbyNews @SaleSharksRugby. I would like to and have been invited to attend by sponsors.
