BBC Two has commissioned a new programme to relive the “most extraordinary moments” from the past 13 series of Dragons’ Den.
Dragons’ Den: From Pitches To Riches will delve back into the Dragons’ back catalogue to re-visit classic Den moments and discover the fortunes of some of the most unforgettable entrepreneurs.
The show will be fronted by “self-confessed Den obsessive” Richard Osman, who will invite some of his favourite entrepreneurs into his own secret cinema where they will come face-to-face with their experience in the Den once again.
He will also uncover the fortunes of some of the Den’s biggest hits and misses, including sauce entrepreneur Levi Roots.
Rachel Ashdown, commissioning editor for BBC Entertainment, said: “As a Den super-fan, Richard Osman will bring great insight and of course his own unique brand of humour to the show. It will give fans of the show a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what makes it the success it is.”
Osman added: “I’ve been a great fan of Dragons’ Den for years. It’s been a real treat to meet the Dragons and ask all the questions I’ve ever wanted to ask. I also discovered the answer to a question that has always bugged me – who’s taller, me or Peter Jones?”
Dragons’ Den used to be filmed at MediaCityUK and is now shot at The Space Project.
