HACE: Data Changing Child Labour has appointed PR Agency One to establish greater brand awareness for its business as it launches its AI-powered Child Labour Index.
The tech-for-good business is building a one-of-a-kind Child Labour Index which generates the only quantitative metric in the world for child labour performance at a company level, alongside a Stewardship Toolkit. The data will help financial institutions, financial services organisations, professional services and investors, understand the underlying risk of child labour in their portfolio companies and funds which enables long-term sustainable returns for their customers through meaningful engagement.
PR Agency One will support the female-founded and led-business through a strategic PR campaign which will build its profile, that of its senior team, and its founder, Eleanor Harry. The agency’s work will establish the business and its key C-suite as go-to spokespeople on the topic of supply chain labour abuses and instances of child labour as new global legislation is introduced.
The agency will support HACE through an earned media-first campaign which will generate impactful media coverage in top-tier national, broadcast and trade press, inspiring financial institutions to take action.
The Manchester-based business was founded in 2020 to help improve the visibility organisations have of their global supply chains for the risk of child labour. There are currently 160m child labourers in the world, an increase of 8m children over the past 4 years, 79m of whom are in hazardous work. It exists in nearly every supply chain in every country in the world, however, investors have no way to monitor real-time company performance on child labour, subjecting their investments to potential financial risk if child labour arises. HACE is on a mission to change that.
Eleanor Harry, founder & CEO at HACE: Data Changing Child Labour, said: “PR Agency One demonstrated a great understanding of our business and what we want to achieve. They were able to translate our vision, insights and key messages into an effective strategy which can be communicated to the C-suite of global financial institutions.
“It also has an impressive track record of working with ambitious early-stage tech businesses and their founders to establish and grow their presence in their target markets. Its tech PR team is the perfect partner to help us put social issues as high on investors’ agendas as other elements of the ESG mix.”
Rick Hollister, senior account director at PR Agency One, added: “HACE is a great example of using AI innovation and tech for good to improve the world we live in. Eleanor is a formidable leader and is steadfast in her vision to eradicate child labour from global supply chains. We’re pleased to partner with HACE to amplify its vision, message and the prominence of child labour in global supply chains to the widest audience possible, to help make the mission a reality.”
HACE is currently raising its latest funding round as it continues on its mission to eradicate child labour in the supply chain. It was recently named in the Startup 100 list 2024 as an exciting business to watch.
