Andy Poole has been promoted to the role of deputy managing director at Weber Shandwick Manchester.
He’s been at the agency for 10 years and his new role will see him take responsibility for developing “the core business drivers of growth, creativity, innovation and digital.” However, his main task will be to strengthen its digital and social offering.
“The current team is the best we’ve ever had and that is reflected in the outstanding, award-winning work we do for clients. We continue to push the boundaries of how we work with clients and the services we provide and it’s an honour to be on this journey with them,” he said.
He will report to managing director Jo Leah, who added:
“Having worked with Andy closely for over 10 years, he has shown time and time again what an all-rounder he is.
“He has played an integral role in the continued growth of Weber Shandwick. We are entering a new era of the business and are evolving to meet the changing needs of our clients, reflected in our recent investment in skill-sets outside of the typical PR remit.”
The agency also announced that it has appointed a new SEO specialist, Giovanni di Cosmo, formerly of K2L.
