BBC Radio 5 Live has announced a series of presenter changes across its schedule.
The moves mean new hosts at Drive, Weekend Breakfast and Late Evenings.
Starting with 5 Live Drive, Clare McDonnell will now be joined by former Weekend Breakfast co-host, Chris Warburton.
Tony Livesey will go back to where it all began for him at the station – the late evening show (10pm-1am).
Gordon Smart, who had been presenting weeknights, will now have a new role as co-presenter on Weekend Breakfast on Sundays. He’ll also regularly present across the schedule as well as other BBC programmes.
Eleanor Oldroyd has decided to step back on Sundays – although she’ll continue to host the Saturday Weekend Breakfast Show.
Smart and Oldroyd’s Weekend Breakfast co-host will be former Olympian, Jeanette Kwakye. Kwakye has regularly presented on 5 Live Breakfast, Drive and Sport programmes, as well as doing the Paris Olympics Coverage.
“It’s fantastic to be welcoming Jeanette in to the 5 Live family. After an outstanding year of big impact events, from the election, Euros football and Olympic Games, 5 Live continues to be the voice of the UK, and our brilliant new schedule line up will continue to bring people together for the country’s biggest moments,” said Heidi Dawson, Controller of BBC 5 Live.
