Manchester-based PR consultancy, Toast has strengthened its growing work in the Crown Dependencies after securing three briefs from businesses based in Jersey and the Isle of Man spanning technology, property and innovation.
The agency is now working with Jersey-based intelligence platform Yoono, Proptech platform Hiizzy and rent-to-own provider, Own Homes.
The wins build on Toast’s existing relationships across the islands, including its partnership with TEKEX, the fast-growing founder and investor network connecting innovation, expertise and private capital across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man, as well as previous private aviation PR for the Manx Jet Centre.

Yoono is a new Jersey-based people-intelligence platform, founded by Richard Tavernor that harnesses AI and open-source intelligence to rapidly uncover litigation, corporate links, adverse media, ownership networks and other hidden connections in minutes.
Hiizzy, founded by Jersey entrepreneurs Lewis Buckley and Allan Wood, is a PropTech platform designed to support homeowners to sell their properties themselves, transparently, with fixed pricing and no commission, giving them greater control of their sale.
Rent-to-own provider, Own Homes is tackling one of the biggest barriers to home ownership – raising a deposit. Founder and CEO, Chris Lee was formerly a director of the UK Government’s Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme. Their new model enables eligible homebuyers to rent a new build-home while building towards eventual ownership.
Julia Mitchell (pictured), founder of Toast said, “There’s some genuinely interesting and ambitious businesses being built in Jersey and the Isle of Man currently, particularly around technology, financial services and property.
What they all have in common is an ambition that extends well beyond their location, That plays very naturally into what we do, helping founders find the story that will travel and build their profile with UK media and target audiences.
We’re really enjoying getting to know these markets and the entrepreneurial communities within them and it’s certainly an area we intend to build on.”
