Following a string of new business wins across the Tees Valley, a strategic communications consultancy is expanding into Teesside with a second office to facilitate growth and serve its growing client roster.
North East Marketing Agency of the Year at the 2025 North East Marketing Awards, McBryde & Co, chose Dinsdale House at the Port of Middlesbrough to house its expanding team. As well as working closely with the Port’s owner and operator, AV Dawson, the consultancy also supports several Teesside-based organisations, including Middlesbrough College Group and Ward Hadaway.
Over the past 12 months, McBryde & Co has welcomed three new team members: Emily Kennedy, Liz Thompson, and Bronia McGregor following business success in fields including renewable energy, professional services, and education.

Rachel McBryde, founder and director at McBryde & Co, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year, and our new office is the icing on the cake. We were hugely proud to be crowned North East marketing agency of the year, and our expansion into Teesside reflects a major milestone in our three-year growth strategy.
“We’ve always worked within the renewable energy space, but these past 12 months have seen that side of our client portfolio significantly increase, working with global firms with a footprint in the North East.
“We’ve also won three clients in the education sector, including Middlesbrough College Group, and are providing them with a mix of strategic counsel and proactive delivery to really amplify their impact.
“Opening in Teesside, especially at the Port of Middlesbrough, felt like a natural evolution for us. The organisations we’re working with, and want to work with, are doing amazing things for the region and we really enjoy telling their stories.
“Teesside is a fantastic place to do business, and somewhere we very much want to be. Some of our team grew up here, so being able to invest in the region and bring them back to work in the area, while building new relationships with amazing local businesses, is something we’re really proud of.”
Charlie Nettle, group managing director of port operatorAV Dawson, added: “We’re delighted to welcome McBryde & Co to the area. They are responsive, strategic in their approach, and committed to delivering positive outcomes for their clients. They are so invested in the area and specifically to the Port of Middlesbrough; they’ll fit perfectly into the Tees Valley.
“Congratulations to the team on a great year. We look forward to seeing what this next growth phase brings for them.”
