Leading integrated agency McCann Manchester has appointed Louise Jackson as talent and development director responsible for the agency’s HR, recruitment and talent development functions.
She follows in the footsteps of Darren Minshull who left the company in the New Year to Join Saatchi and Saatchi as Group HR Director for the UK.
Jackson joins the agency from London based EDC Communications where she was Group HR Director looking after agency brands including Dare and Elvis. Prior to the role with EDC she has held a board role at Dare and before that spent six years at EHS Brann as HR Manager.
McCann Manchester chief executive Sue Little welcomed her on board.
“She is the latest in a number of people who’ve made the jump from agency life in London to join us and I’m confident she will bring immense experience and a fresh perspective.”
A Business Studies graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University with PGDip in Human Resource Management, Jackson will be responsible for driving all of the agency’s HR function spanning recruitment, retention and development for the agency’s 300 staff based at its Bonis Hall headquarters.
She will also be responsible for developing the agency’s highly successful apprenticeship and graduate recruitment programmes.
Jackson said, “McCann clearly recognise the importance of investing in talent and their people strategy. The awards they’ve won for work in this area clearly reflect this. I’m looking forward to working closely with the management team to further develop this strategy and help ensure that McCann continues to attract, retain and develop the very best talent in the industry.”
