Retail price intelligence specialist Skuuudle has strengthened its senior team as demand for the company’s services continues to grow.
The Manchester-based business has hired James Pogson as head of marketing alongside new SVP of sales, Adrian Hands.
Skuuudle’s competitor price monitoring solutions allow retailers and brands to monitor eCommerce pricing and promotions globally, which is especially important at a time of high inflation and business uncertainty.
In a growing market estimated to be worth over $450 million globally, Skuuudle is seeking to differentiate its offering from other market players with a far greater commitment to accuracy and data coverage.
Pogson brings with him over 20 years of senior e-commerce sales & marketing experience having led high performing teams at Washington-based Choice Hotels and LateRooms.com, along with roles at Co-op Power and heading up sales at conversion rate optimisation and digital agencies.
Hands has over 10 years experience in e-commerce, firstly in travel as head of eCommerce sales EMEA with Tripadvisor over the course of eight years before taking a senior role as General Manager across EU and US at Edge by Ascential Price & Promo, in 2019.
At a time of huge uncertainty in domestic and global markets, Pogson says Skuuudle’s price monitoring solutions will help businesses to win on price, but also that this intelligence will help put some much needed confidence back into the markets: “Without Skuuudle, a business will never know how pricing has impacted their potential sales,” he said. “Many of the best performing businesses use Skuuudle, giving business leaders the confidence their pricing is competitive, helping protect and grow market share. I’m driven by helping more businesses get the tools they need and build the confidence to grow again in uncertain times.”
Hands added: “Skuuudle recognises the opportunity to differentiate from legacy technology which relies on catalogues of predetermined product matches & doesn’t provide the complete accuracy and flexibility retailers need. Without the correct balance of AI and human insight businesses won’t get the most accurate picture of how their pricing strategy compares with that of their competitors.”
Skuuudle has ambitious plans to double in size over the next two years and the new senior team has already made two further new hires to help take them there. Anastasia Binns has joined from Manchester startup, Caroo, as Skuuudle’s first revenue operations manager, while Ed Selman joins from Workspace 365 as SDR Sales Manager.
