Manchester marketer partners with domestic abuse charity

Manchester marcomms firm APS Group has entered a new partnership with Furnishing Futures, a specialist charity that supports women who have fled domestic abuse.

The international marketing and creative services business will support the organisation through a combination of employee volunteering and pro bono creative and production services, helping the charity strengthen its brand and share its story.

The London-based charity works in partnership with local authorities and referral organisations to support women placed in empty social housing following domestic abuse, ensuring they can transition into fully furnished homes that offer safety and long-term stability.

The partnership kicked off with a volunteering day for APS Group’s London-based staff at Furnishing Futures’ East London depot, preparing furniture and homeware ahead of the charity’s annual Christmas campaign.

James Lawton-Hill, marketing & agency director at APS Group, said: “Furnishing Futures does incredible work supporting women and children at a critical point in their lives, and we felt it was important to contribute in a way that goes beyond fundraising.

“By combining volunteering with pro bono creative support, we can help Furnishing Futures communicate their impact more clearly and reach more people who need their support, while also giving our teams the opportunity to get involved in a meaningful way.”

Rebecca Hodgson, head of partnerships at Furnishing Futures, added: “Partnerships like this make a real difference to the people we support, particularly at a time when they are rebuilding their lives. Having access to professional creative expertise, alongside the time and commitment of APS Group’s team, allows us to raise awareness of our work more effectively and communicate the impact of what we do.

“This support helps us reach more partners and supporters, and ultimately ensures more women and children can move into safe, fully furnished homes at a point when stability, dignity and security matter most.”

APS Group operates across Europe and North America, employing more than 1100 specialists to deliver creative, print and digital communications for some of the world’s best-known brands. The new partnership forms part of APS Group’s wider commitment to social impact and community engagement, supporting organisations that create positive, lasting change.
