Love Sugar Science appoints former Woman & Home publisher and Future creative director to client relations role

Manchester independent media agency Love Sugar Science has appointed Lucy Gugas as head of client relations.

Gugas has held high-profile positions including publisher of Woman & Home, creative and digital director at TI Media (now Future) and creative solutions director at Hearst. She has also worked with agencies and publications to deliver award winning partnerships for brands such as N Brown and Matalan.

In her new role, Gugas will be responsible for the development of Love Sugar Science’s profile in the advertiser marketplace, developing key client and new business relationships to expand the agency’s portfolio as well as sharing her extensive publishing experience with both clients and the wider team.

Love Sugar Science co-founder Jessica Scott said: “We are absolutely buzzing to bring Lucy into the team. We have worked together over the years and seen the results she can achieve with her relentless energy, enthusiasm and tenacity for making difficult things happen. The impact she will have on our clients and the team should not be underestimated.”

Gugas added: “When Love Sugar Science first launched I was one of their biggest supporters and I loved their ambition to stand out from the agency crowd and be different.

“I have seen first-hand the incredible work the team produce for their clients. Creating special, standout campaigns through fantastic partnerships and pushing the boundaries of what has gone before. I am excited to get started and support the team on the next chapter.”

Gugas’ appointment comes on the back of a series of notable client wins, including Crown Paints, who join brands such as Chester Zoo, International Motors and River Island on Love Sugar Science’s roster.
