Lesniak Swann strengthens Manchester leadership team with former Dentsu board member

B2B marketing agency Lesniak Swann has appointed former Dentsu B2B board member Melanie Carey-Yard as Client Services Director as it continues to expand its Manchester operation.

Carey-Yard joins the agency more than two years after it established a presence in the city through the acquisition of Don’t Be Shy, adding a Northern Quarter office as part of its growth plans.

She brings more than 20 years’ experience across agencies including Dentsu, gyro and TBWA\Worldwide, where she held senior client leadership and business development roles, working with brands including Shell, Siemens, Visa and Vaillant.

In her new role, Carey-Yard will focus on developing client relationships, driving growth across existing accounts and supporting the agency’s consultancy offering.

The appointment is accompanied by further investment in the client services team, with Eleanore Nash joining as Account Manager and Ella Walker as Junior Account Manager.

Alex Swann, managing director at Lesniak Swann, said: “Mel is joining at a really important point in our growth as an agency.

“Our Manchester presence has developed significantly over the past two years and we’re now focused on strengthening the senior leadership and client services capability needed to support that next stage of expansion.

“She brings a strong track record of leading strategic client relationships for global B2B brands and will play a key role in helping us deepen partnerships, unlock new opportunities and continue building a more commercially focused consultancy offer for our clients.”

The appointments come during a period of growth for the agency, which works with clients across the built environment, industrial and technology sectors and was recently ranked second in The Drum Awards 2025’s global B2B agency rankings.
