Yorkshire filmmaker and multimedia specialist Wayne Sables has been appointed digital consultant for Leeds-based Fidget Theatre.
Fidget is led by co-artistic directors Ruth Cooper and Andrea Heaton and specialises in playful and imaginative work for young children and family audiences.
Doncaster-based Sables will be creating a trailer film version of the company’s current shows, Pirate Bonnie, created in Partnership with Leeds Libraries and supported by ACE National touring 2023, and Football Freddie, the story of a young Yorkshire girl with a big football dream.
Sables will also be creating digital content for the company’s social media sites and supporting it with its social media presence, and helping build a greater online and digital strategy.
“I have been working with the company for a while now and am delighted to be able to say that we are already seeing results,” said Wayne. “They are a perfect example of how, in a crowded and competitive market, you need to be able to maintain a strong digital presence and shout out about the great work you are doing. Digital is an increasingly important addition to the arts world and as my work has proved, it has so many applications that can really bring an arts project to life.”
