Manchester-based Happy Radio UK has announced a new partnership which will see it ‘champion’ the Trafford Centre as its new radio partner.
The radio station, launched in April 2022 by presenter Darren Proctor and entrepreneur Max Eden, will now serve as the official radio partner of the shopping centre. The agreement will see Happy Radio UK support the venue with coverage, promotion, and live activity, including on-site broadcasts, presenter appearances and social media content aligned to its events calendar.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with Trafford Centre to champion this iconic venue and its offering – another great partnership in which the radio station can deliver a full 360 package to support and showcase the venue,” said co-founders Proctor and Eden in a statement. “It’s an incredible destination known not only for its incredible shopping but for being a real leisure destination.”
Opened in 1998, Trafford Centre is one of the largest retail and entertainment complexes in the country. The collaboration will see Happy Radio UK promote its latest activities, family-friendly events, premium parking offering and new store launches.
Since launching, Happy Radio UK has secured several major partnerships, including with Manchester’s AO Arena. The station, which broadcasts on DAB across the North West, is currently celebrating record-high listening figures and features a roster of well-known presenters including Steve Penk, Darren Proctor, Chelsea Norris, Spence MacDonald and Paul Crone.
