Golley Slater PR has been appointed to handle consumer and corporate communications for holiday park operator Park Leisure.
The agency’s Leeds team, headed by MD Eileen Stretton, has been tasked with raising the profile of Park and its 11 locations across the UK, beginning with a £15m acquisition on Anglesey, Plas Coch Holiday Homes.
The brief is to create and implement “through the line, creative brand-building campaigns”.
Grant Gidman, Park Leisure’s head of marketing, said: “This is a very exciting time for our growing business and so we needed to bring in a strong PR team with local and national media clout who could really bring to life our offering: making a luxury leisure lifestyle an affordable reality.
“The team at Golley Slater North’s impressed the board at Park Leisure with their strong PR backgrounds, their understanding of our unique business opportunities and their creative energy.”
Stretton added: “It’s yet another brand that fits well with our business model as, in addition to the national capability of our locally based team in the north, the client has the unique opportunity to use the Golley Slater regional network. For multisite businesses this means PR and marketing experts can be close to their locations across the UK.”
Last year Golley Slater drafted in a new team and moved to new premises in Leeds city centre. It says it has since won “six-figure wins” with Poundstretcher, Land Securities (Trinity Leeds & White Rose), Thai Leisure Group and GO Outdoors.
