Manchester PR agency, Future, has been appointed by Hotel Football to handle its communications retainer for the upcoming season.

The agency, which handles PR for Sacha Lord, the region’s Night Time Economy Advisor, and also advises University Academy 92 (UA92), has been brought on board to drive national and international awareness of the football-themed hotel.

Co-founded in 2015 by former Manchester United players Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville, the 133-bedroom hotel sits adjacent to the city’s famous Old Trafford stadium, the home of their former team. The hotel also includes Cafe Football, a basement bar Old Trafford Supporters Club and a rooftop football pitch and event space, known as Heaven.

For 21st century fans of successful teams, the hotel is a mere two miles from Manchester City’s famous Etihad stadium, and easily accessible via Manchester’s Metrolink system.

Nina Sawetz, founder and managing director at Future, said: “I’m excited to work alongside Jess and the Hotel Football team as we ramp up awareness of the hotel among football fans and their families. Whether you are a United fan or not, we can all agree especially after this past season that Manchester is the UK’s home of football, and I’m particularly excited to encourage sports fans, whoever they support, to come and experience this unique hotel and the range of experiences it provides.”

Future will report into Jessica Southworth, the hotel’s director of sales & marketing.
