From Bolton bakery to household name: Warburtons chairman to speak at Manchester event

Jonathan Warburton

Fresh from launching a 150th anniversary campaign narrated by Morgan Freeman, the chairman of Warburtons will take to the stage at an event in Manchester next month to reflect on the rise of one of the UK’s most recognisable bakery brands.

Jonathan Warburton will be speaking at the latest Slater Heelis ‘In Conversation’ event on Wednesday 22 April at HOME Manchester, sharing the story of a sixth-generation family business that has grown from a small bakery in Bolton into a national household name.

The event follows the release of Warburtons’ 150th anniversary advert, narrated by Morgan Freeman, continuing the brand’s long-running tradition of celebrity-fronted campaigns. Previous adverts have featured stars including the likes of George Clooney, Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as appearances from The Muppets.

During the session, hosted by Michael Taylor, North West editor at TheBusinessDesk.com, Warburton will talk about the brand’s latest campaign and discuss the company’s 150-year journey, exploring how the business continues to balance its deep heritage with innovation, growth and modern brand building.

The conversation will also include an audience Q&A, allowing attendees to put their questions directly to Warburton.

Spaces for this event are limited, and the conversation promises a rare insight into the Warburtons story and its recipe for brand success.  So whether you’re a business leader, marketer, or brand storyteller, make sure you secure your ticket here to guarantee your place.
