Fourth Day is to provide pro bono PR and content support to the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, as part of its charity partner programme.
The agency will work with Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity CEO, Fran Darlington-Pollock, to raise awareness of the charity and the frontline community projects it supports, as well as encouraging broader conversations around the issues impacting homelessness across Greater Manchester.
Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity raises vital funds to help people at risk of or experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping across the region. These funds provide emergency response as well as supporting projects that help to stop homelessness before it becomes a reality. The flagship initiative A Bed Every Night and its wider programmes have helped to prevent over 78,000 nights spent sleeping on the street.
“Everyone at Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, and the charities we partner with, are acutely aware of the homelessness and rough sleeping challenges that exist across Greater Manchester and the UK”, said Darlington-Pollock. “There are wide ranging socio-economic factors that contribute to this and continually communicating these issues, both regionally and nationally, is crucial in driving change. Fourth Day has extensive experience of running thought leadership campaigns and we look forward to working with the team to ensure these issues are always on the news agenda.”
Caroline Fletcher, senior account manager at Fourth Day, said: “We’re delighted to work with Fran and the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity as this year’s chosen charity. Fran is an inspirational CEO, and the Fourth Day team unanimously felt that our experience, culture and passions aligned with what Fran and her team are striving to achieve.”
Each year, Fourth Day invites its team to nominate a charity that might benefit from strategic advice and communications support. The agency has previously managed pro bono campaigns for The Running Charity, PAPER gallery, Climbing Out and 53two.
