Former Sun and Evening Standard digital guru on board as expanding London comms consultancy completes initial Manchester hiring spree

B2B technology communications consultancy, Resonance has expanded its Manchester operation with three new hires as it builds out its digital and integrated marketing proposition in the North.

The move strengthens its ability to deliver full-spectrum campaigns that matter most in today’s tech buyers’ journey, blending influencer, PR, content, social and SEO, directly from the UK’s most exciting regional tech hub.

The hires come just two months after Resonance announced the opening of its Manchester office as part of a long-term investment into the region’s £5bn tech economy. With more than 10,000 digital and tech businesses in Greater Manchester and a growing cluster of fintech, AI and data-led companies, the city offers the ideal environment for Resonance to scale its integrated B2B communications offer.

The lines between SEO, social media, influencer relations and strategic communications are blurring, and buyers’ habits are shifting, Resonance noted. AI-powered search tools have changed how information is surfaced, and platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and even TikTok are fast becoming core to how B2B buyers discover, evaluate, and trust technology brands.

Resonance is responding by blending deep B2B tech expertise with talent from consumer and digital media, ensuring clients stay visible, credible, and competitive in the channels that matter most.

The new hires include Jordan Platt, who joins as social & SEO manager, bringing over a decade of digital media experience from major UK news outlets including Metro, The Sun and PinkNews. Most recently, Platt led social strategy at The London Evening Standard (now the London Standard) where he played a central role in doubling audience reach and video performance through short-form content innovation. Originally from Manchester, he returns home to lead integrated social and search strategies for clients looking to increase visibility, engagement, and digital outcomes.

Callie Treanor joins as senior account executive. She brings B2B agency experience across fintech, AI, and SaaS, with a strong track record in managing media relations and securing national coverage for tech disruptors. Having worked alongside Resonance’s North West lead Laura Cameron previously, Callie will play a key role in supporting client delivery as the Manchester team grows.

Completing the trio is Hannah Whitfield, who joins as account executive following a first-class degree in marketing and recent agency experience supporting professional services and B2B clients. Hannah’s digital content skills, media instincts, and stakeholder experience strengthen the agency’s regional comms offering.

Claire Williamson, MD at Resonance, said: “The Internet fundamentally changed how people connect, buy, consume, and now Generative AI is reshaping those behaviours all over again. Just as PR and marketing had to evolve in the Google era, we’re entering a phase where authority, trust and relevance across channels matters more than ever for B2B tech brands. Every hire we make is designed to help our clients show up with impact today and navigate the shifts of tomorrow, whether that’s in search, on LinkedIn or in results of an AI model. Our team brings the depth and future-facing mindset to lead in this new era.”

North West lead Cameron added: “There’s a huge appetite from tech brands in the North for communications that deliver results. With this team now in place, we’re ready to partner with more innovators across the region and help them break through.”

The Manchester office expands Resonance’s national footprint and enhances its ability to support clients across fintech, data, AI, and enterprise software. The new hires join a global team spanning the UK, Europe, and North America.
