BCN, the Manchester-HQ’d cloud IT managed service provider and digital transformation specialist, has appointed Victoria Jackson as chief people officer to oversee its human resources function..
Jackson has vast experience in HR and has formally held senior leadership positions in the TV, technology, retail and hospitality sectors. She was most recently head of people at dock10 Studios and has also served stints at THG and B&M.
Jackson will assist the company in ensuring that its culture, working environment and leadership strategies make BCN stand out in the tech industry, attracting new talent while also nurturing existing relationships with employees.
BCN has experienced exponential growth in the past three years, both organically and through the acquisition of Cloud2, Reach Consult, Evo-soft and NewCMI. As a result, the business now has over 400 employees across Manchester, Leeds, Reading and Belfast. Jackson’s role is crucial in keeping up with BCN’s expanding workforce and ensuring that it continues to be a best-in-class employer in the tech space.
Recognising the importance of its team, BCN set up the BCN Academy in 2022 to ensure that everyone at BCN has access to relevant training, the opportunities to gain insight from leading thinkers and innovators and to empower individual growth within the business. As CPO, Jackson will aim to bolster this offering and ensure that the needs of both the business and individuals are met.
As well as her 20 years in the HR industry position as a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, Jackson holds a trustee and board member role at Octagon Theatre Bolton. She has a keen eye for talent in different fields and a strong understanding of best practices across different sectors.
Jackson said: “I’m extremely excited to have been appointed as CPO at BCN. The business has built up a strong people-first ethos over the years, and I am looking forward to supporting this. Ensuring that both existing and new staff members feel supported at all times will help maintain the exceptional quality of work and technical expertise at BCN. I can’t wait to get settled in and nourish the company’s people culture and promote employee growth and success”.
Rob Davies, CEO of BCN added: “At BCN, we pride ourselves in creating a workplace where talented employers have room to grow and keep up with industry trends and changes. Therefore, we are delighted to welcome Victoria as our new CPO to oversee our HR and talent functions. By hiring and maintaining the best technical experts, through providing a culture, support and business goals which align with employees needs ensures that we are ahead of the curve of advancing technologies”.
