Tracy Eastwood, the former MD of Bauer Media in Yorkshire, is to join Real Radio Yorkshire as managing director.
Eastwood left Bauer after 16 years in October after a regional restructure. She originally started her career with Metro Radio Group and held a number of positions within Bauer across the North West and Yorkshire, including station director at Key 103.
Speaking to RadioToday, local sales director for Real and Smooth Radio Ltd, Alison Forshaw, said: “Tracy joins Real Radio with a wealth of experience and knowledge, of both business and the Yorkshire market place and a great reputation with clients.
“I have no doubt that she will be fundamental to the continued success of Real Radio Yorkshire and we all look forward to welcoming Tracy to the team.”
Eastwood said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Real Radio team and I’m looking forward to making a significant contribution to the business, the team and the future development of the business in Yorkshire.”
Real Radio Yorkshire may soon have to be sold by its current owner Global Radio following the recent ruling by the Competition Commission.
