Think Christmas. Think beatboxing alpacas. And that’s just what Flipbook Studio has created for J20.
Mojo (the alpaca) was brought to life by the animation and VFX studio on behalf on ad agency, VCCP, which supplied the creative.
“Our 3D team spent many weeks modelling, texturing and applying hair to Mojo before building and implementing the complex rig that enabled us to capture the full range of expressions Mojo needed to perform,” explained Jo Wilkinson, Flipbook’s Head of Production.
“Mojo is a cheeky alpaca, who brings joy and humour to every scene and so we exaggerated his facial expressions to capture this endearing quality. The animation team worked tirelessly on his facial animation, refining, experimenting and producing a number of iterations until we’d captured what we wanted. Animated characters like Mojo, that are playful and humorous but that also pose a challenge to the team, are an absolute delight to create.”
