The cast of The Fast Show are planning a special episode to mark the comedy’s 25th anniversary, according to John Thomson.

The Cold Feet star, who played Louis Balfour (above) in the popular sketch show, revealed he was in talks with the series’ cast about an anniversary special during an interview with BBC Radio Manchester.

“We’re hoping to do a special, which is very exciting,” he said. “You heard it first here. We’re in talks, as they say.”

The Fast Show first aired on BBC Two on 27 September 1994 and ran for three years.

It starred creators Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson alongside regulars Simon Day, Mark Williams, Thomson, Arabella Weir and Caroline Aherne and spawned a number of famous characters.
