tunstallhealthcare

Tunstall Healthcare, the Doncaster-headquartered healthtech firm, has acquired Germany-based BeWo Unternehmensgruppe for an undisclosed sum.

Together with BeWo, it sees Tunstall open its first home emergency call centre in Germany, helping it support vulnerable people at home.

Tunstall Healthcare provides software solutions, services and technology for telecare and telehealth. It produces monitoring units, sensors and platforms to allow the elderly and vulnerable to live with independence.

Its Tunstall Cognitive Care innovation uses AI and in-home tech to detect whether an individual’s health is about to decline, and spot undiagnosed issues.

Peter Nicklin, Chairman of Tunstall Integrated Healthcare, said: “We are pleased to have found a strong partner in the BeWo Group.

“Our approach will offer professionals and service users an opportunity to explore new ways of delivering and receiving enhanced health and social care services at home, therefore increasing health and wellbeing, and the efficacy of the care services available.”

Matthias Sandrock, CEO of the BeWo Group of companies, said: “Tunstall is an innovative partner with whom we have been working successfully for many years.

“We have long been convinced of the quality of their products and can now offer our customers and cooperation partners an even wider range of solutions from the areas of telehealth and smart home solutions.”
