The Data Shed in Leeds says it’s set for expansion with plans to recruit 10 staff this year.

Established in 2014, it marks a sharp turn in growth for the company, which more than doubled in size in 2017, to a headcount of 22.

“As two Yorkshire-born entrepreneurs, ourselves the children of entrepreneurs, we’re really proud to be building a fast-growing company in Leeds, offering interesting roles to skilled digital professionals. Our recent growth has come on the back of new clients as well as further projects from existing clients,” explained co-founder Anna Sutton.

“We are also planning further growth over the next twelve months. Having grown organically, without having to take outside investment, allows us to develop the company in the right way alongside our clients.”

Roger Marsh OBE, chair of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership added:

“It’s great to see the growth of The Data Shed, another successful digital company to be founded and grown in the Leeds City Region. Anna and Ed [Thewlis] are developing high quality jobs which contributes to the attractiveness of the city region for overseas companies looking to base their digital operations.”
