Creative Spark has partnered with Humans MCR as their creative communications agency.

Humans MCR was established in December 2019 to provide people experiencing homelessness in Bury a hot meal at Christmas. This project quickly evolved into delivering Christmas dinners, plated up, to over 30 families and the Humans MCR food bank on wheels was born. By March 2020 the charity had evolved again into securing food for those in need, once someone has a referral, Humans MCR will package up a food parcel and deliver it to their door.

The new partnership will see Creative Spark work with the charity to evolve its brand identity and build a new website enabling Humans MCR to fulfil their mission to respond to the root causes of food poverty and work to offer dignity, health and respect throughout Manchester’s communities.

The new website will enable Humans MCR to engage better with agencies, organisations and ultimately the people who they aim to support. Creative Spark will research personas, users journeys and make content recommendations that the charity can update and manage in house.

Humans MCR has grown organically, out of poverty caused by austerity measures, the pandemic and now the cost of living crisis. This reactive growth is  reflected in their brand and website, which now needs to work harder than ever before to support people living in food poverty across Manchester.

Creative Spark founder & creative director Neil Marra said: “Creative Spark is honoured to partner with Humans MCR to enable them to be an effective support network for people living in food poverty across our city. The amazing work that Lewey and his team do is invaluable and has helped people during their most difficult times throughout the pandemic and the aftermath. We will develop  their brand identity and redesign their website so their stakeholders and clients can understand how to access their services as easily as possible. We hope to work with the charity for the foreseeable future and to help more people in poverty.”

Humans MCR, Founder, Lewey Hellewell added: “The demand for Humans MCR is growing and we need a brand identity and website to enable us to be easily identified and for people to learn about us as quickly. The team at Creative Spark have generously offered their time and skills to create a new brand identity and website that will help people for years to come. We are dedicated to ensuring people feel they are treated with respect and by accessing information clearly they can secure sufficient nutritious food.”
