A number of companies, including a creative agency and a media start-up have signed up to move to a new co-working space in Ardwick, Manchester.

The 14,000 sq ft co-working space called Use.Space, located at 31 Ardwick Green North, has enough space for 134 members to meet and work, and will officially launch on June 19th.

The companies that have already signed up to work there include Paus.tv, a media start-up for YouTubers, Image Foundry, a creative agency specialising in computer-generated visuals, an online retailer of ladies party wear called Little Black Dress and fashion brand A La Mode, as well as a behavioural science start-up called nudge.

The new tennants will have access to 10,000 sq ft of production facilities for film, video and voice.

David Walter, Use. Space Founder, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome our first members to our new campus. They are united by a shared sense of flair, imagination and drive.

“Sustainability and wellbeing are key priorities for us too and we are employing biophillic design incorporating elements of nature, plants and the outdoors. Plus, all our cutlery, plates, coffee cups and straws will be 100 per cent plant-based and compostable and we’ll be running regular sustainability activities to inspire our members to ensure we all do our bit for the environment.

“With 30 per cent of our space already filled, and with many more enquiries coming in, we’re well on our way to reaching our aim of establishing a buzzing hive of innovation and creativity in the regenerated Ardwick area.”

The 14,000 sq ft space shares the same campus as Seventy7 – an international creative content agency also run by David, meaning that new tennents will have easy access to established creative professionals.

Simon Stone joins the team as Use.Space’s Community Manager and will be responsible for supporting members.

The Ardwick area is set to be transformed as part of a £1.1bn regeneration project.

Tickets to the launch party can be bought on Eventbrite.
