Could Sir Jim Ratcliffe be making film of the Manchester United takeover?

According to reports this morning, Ineos, is looking into the possibility of releasing a behind the scenes documentary about its partial takeover of Manchester United.

The Times says that its former Chief Sports Writer, Matt Dickinson has been recruited for the project. It also revealed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been recording a video diary of the takeover.

While rivals Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have let cameras go behind the scenes, it’s not something that United has entertained so far.

That’s despite having one of football’s most established in-house television channels in MUTV.

Ratcliffe acquired 27.7% of the club in February and has control of football operations. It’s seen major changes at the club, with cuts, a new hierarchy, plus upgrades to Carrington and plans for a new stadium

According to The Times, Dickinson has been approached first to pen a book, but with footage also being archive for a possible documentary film.
