Carbon Digital is moving into larger offices at MediaCityUK as it plans further staff recruitment.

The visual FX company has also announced the appointment of Carleen Houbart as a visual effects artist. Houbart’s CV includes roles at Sony Liverpool, Sumo Digital, Juice Games and Blade Interactive.
“We’re delighted that Carleen has joined us at Carbon Digital during what is an incredibly exciting time for the company,” said studio manager and co-founder Sue McHugh.
“Carleen has incredible talent and experience, particularly in the video games space – which is an important business sector for us this year.
“It is also apt that – given the recent celebration of female talent in the UK games business – it’s another woman who’s joining our team, which already includes Katie Stanworth our Visual Effects Producer, and Senior 3D Artist Hayley Leonard.
Last year the company received investment from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund to encourage growth.
