The Sharp Project’s social enterprise, SharpFutures is inviting young Yorkshire content creators to a new creative talent development programme delivered with the support of Channel 4 and their Leeds based digital content production team 4Studio.

The aim of ‘Content Creatives’, is to inspire and encourage a new generation of digital content makers in Yorkshire by offering six paid placements to develop their skills, experience and editorial voice.

SharpFutures are working with Job Centre Plus and DWP work coaches in the region to reach as diverse an audience as possible and are specifically looking for people that may not have considered applying for such a course before.

The full-time, free 12-week programme is for individuals aged 18-24 years old living in Yorkshire, and is hoped to reach applicants with a wide range of backgrounds.

4Studio Digital Content Director Janine Smith (pictured) said: “I’m incredibly excited to bring opportunities to young creatives in the North. Being able to work directly with these young people will benefit 4Studio just as much as it will the participants. We firmly believe that creative talent can come from anywhere – no matter your background, qualifications or who your parents know.”

Ewan Vinnicombe-Wallis is SharpFutures’ ‘Content Creatives’ Project Director and has worked closely with 4Studio to develop the course.

He added: “I am looking forward to working with the 4Studios team to secure the participation of inspirational industry experts who will host masterclasses and inspire our six candidates as they progress through this journey of opportunity. “
