Lancashire production company, Bigtank, has launched a new 3D animation department.
It will be headed up by Bigtank video editor, Rob Higgins, whose career started in games design and 3D modelling.
“Video is now 82% of internet traffic and that number is set only to grow. But what many people don’t realise when they look at that stat is that it doesn’t just represent the click-to-watch videos many of us think of when we hear the term. It actually represents all the moving digital images that make up the modern internet experience,” explained Higgins.
“So 3D animation is a massive part of that, while also being a fantastic way to provide explainer content for everything from seriously technical engineering products to education to health and wellbeing – the list is endless.”
The Ramsbottom company stated that it would now provide stand-alone 3D projects, or integrate them with traditional video output.
