Betfred powers “epic” day of sport for Rugby League and boxing fans

Next weekend, North West bookmaker, Betfred, will be combining two of its major sponsorships as it takes over Wembley.

During the day, the Women’s and Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup Finals will take place at Wembley and in the evening it will be sponsoring the Betfred Fight Night at the OVO Arena next door.

Through a partnership between BOXXER, the RFL and Betfred, St Helens, Wigan and Hull KR rugby fans attending the men’s and women’s finals, will be offered ticket deals to attend the boxing.

“Bringing together two major sporting events at Wembley creates a brilliant opportunity to give fans an even bigger day out and showcase the very best of live sport and entertainment. The Betfred Challenge Cup Finals are one of the highlights of the Rugby League calendar and partnering with BOXXER and Betfred allows us to extend the experience beyond the 80 minutes on the pitch,” explained Joe Steel, Rugby League Commercial’s Director of Marketing and Communications.

“This collaboration is all about creating added value for supporters and delivering a memorable occasion across the whole day. Wembley will be packed with atmosphere from start to finish and we’re excited to work with BOXXER and Betfred to give fans the chance to experience two huge events across the weekend.”

Rugby league and boxing both deliver incredible atmosphere, intensity and loyal fan support, so we’re delighted to be partnering with the RFL and Betfred to deliver a full day of elite sport,” said Ben Shalom, BOXXER Founder & CEO.

Betfred boss Fred Done added:

“I’m delighted to be involved in this Super Saturday and looking forward to taking my seat at Wembley for two enthralling Betfred Challenge Cup finals and then watching the highly talented Adam Azim. It should be a cracking day of sport.”
